Welcome to the website of Easton Garford Endowed CE School.

I am proud to be the headteacher of Easton Garford.  It is an extremely happy school with a “family” ethos.  This is coupled with an atmosphere of high expectation which encourages the development of self respect and high attainment, and enables pupils to achieve their full potential. 

The teaching is purposeful and we aim to involve parents in a genuine partnership.  During the current Academic Year, I have been very pleased to welcome Parent Volunteers into school to help listen to readers, and to run an after-school club: something I am keen to continue in the future.

We have been successful in achieving the Activemark accreditation for the last two years, which reflects our strong focus on promoting physical activity, plus our involvement with sports coaching and the local School Sports Partnership.  We achieved the prestigious National Healthy Schools Status, and enjoy our annual Healthy School Week.  This has helped to raise awareness of the importance of healthy eating and healthy lifestyles.  To promote this further, we have introduced:

ü      Water For All – children are issued with a free Easton Garford water bottle, and encouraged to drink regularly throughout the day;

ü      Cool Milk At School – children are entitled to free milk until they reach the age of 5 years, at which point milk can be purchased;

ü      After-School Clubs which focus on physical activity and healthy eating (Football Skills, Dance/Aerobics, Cookery, Table Tennis, Rugby, etc.);

ü      Hot meals – this was introduced in the Summer Term 2008 and continue to be a popular alternative to packed lunches.
